Leadership Appointments: Our Faculty Named to Key American Board of Orofacial Pain Positions

May 10, 2025

We are honored and proud to announce that two distinguished members of our Distance Learning and Orofacial Pain faculty have been appointed to leadership positions on the American Board of Orofacial Pain (ABOP).

Effective July 1, 2025

  • Dr. Clark will assume the role of President
  • Dr. Vistoso will serve as Secretary/Treasurer and continue as Recertification Chair

These prestigious appointments are effective for a two-year term and reflect the outstanding contributions both faculty members have made to the field of orofacial pain management and education.

Established in 1994, the American Board of Orofacial Pain (ABOP) provides rigorous certification for dentists specializing in orofacial pain management. The recent appointments of Dr. Clark and Dr. Vistoso to leadership positions enhance our institution’s prominence in this field. Their roles will continue influencing certification standards, continuing education, specialty recognition, and curriculum development, while providing students direct access to industry leaders.
