in Geriatric Dentistry

This program is suitable for dentists interested in learning more in-depth knowledge about the unique needs of older adult patients. The program will have a combined focus on the common medical, physical, psychological, and social factors influencing the patient; and, in developing subsequent treatment plan priorities. Thorough discussions and recommended treatments for oral lesions and orofacial pain conditions more likely to be seen in older adult cohorts are covered.

The GDEN Master’s is a 3-year program, with courses outlined by trimester.

OFPM 726	2 units	Anette Vistoso Monreal DDS, MS, DABOP	Immunology and Immunosuppression for Dental Residents Lectures and seminars on immunology and immunosuppression for oral and maxillofacial diseases.
OFPM 722	2 units	Roseann Mulligan, DDS, MS	Internal Medicine and Systemic Disease for Dental Residents Lectures and seminars on common systemic diseases with potential oral manifestation and dental management
