Mehdi Mohammadi DDS, MPH, MS
Assistant Clinical professor in the Division of Dental Public Health & Pediatric Dentistry at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC.
Dr. Mohammadi received his dental degree, Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Maratha Mandal Dental College, Belgaum, India in 2000 and DDS in 2003 from Tehran University, Iran. After two years of private practice, Dr. Mohammadi moved to the United Kingdom and earned his MPH from Cardiff University in 2007. Dr. Mohammadi was awarded a DDS having completed the two years of Advanced Standing Program for International Dentists at USC in May 2012.
He is now serving as a Section Chair of Adult Community Care at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC and interim director of USC+URM Dental Clinic. As part of his responsibilities, Dr. Mohammadi oversees administrative aspects of adult community clinics and supervises D4 students providing comprehensive dental treatment to people without housing at clinics in Skid Row area, downtown Los Angeles.
To improve his knowledge and skills of understanding the complex medical conditions of his patients, Dr. Mohammadi completed his three year master program in geriatric dentistry at USC and graduated in 2018. He is involved in online teaching and serves as a faculty advisor for capstone projects for geriatric and community oral health residents.
