Associate Dean of Distance Learning and Telehealth

Dr. Glenn Clark was a biochemistry major at California State University at San Jose, before going on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery Education at UCLA. He then earned a master’s degree in dental research from the University of Rochester and finished a two-year general practice residency at Eastman Dental Center. He is an expert on sleep apnea, orofacial pain and oral medicine, and Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMJ). Having published over 250+ research articles, Dr. Clark received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Academy of Orofacial Pain and an Honorary Fellowship from the American Academy of Oral Medicine and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orofacial Pain.

Dr. Clark is a Professor at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC, Associate Dean for Distance Learning & Telehealth, and the Director of the Online Master of Science in Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine program.

This course focus on anatomy of peripheral and central nociceptors, molecular mechanisms that underlie primary responses, neural networks, and neural mechanisms involved in hyperalgesia and allodynia.
Pain 713a,b,c,d 0.5 units Case Studies
This course has multiple elements including weekly online discussions of cases; learning need assignments; defense of an 18 cases or scenarios e-Portfolio.
