OFP/OFPOM Remote Testing 1A, 1B, and 1C
📅 Dates: June 30 and July 2
📍 Primary Location: Virtual
🕘 Daily Schedule: See times below
👥 Format: Individual appointment-based assessment
Students completing Bootcamp cohorts 1A, 1B, and 1C will participate in two remote testing sessions that serve as the formal competency evaluation component following the on-campus experience. These assessments are conducted virtually and are a required part of the Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine program’s comprehensive clinical training framework.
Tuesday, June 30 — Virtual Patient Examination (3:00 – 7:00 PM PST) Students will complete a Virtual Patient case examination using the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC’s interactive simulation platform. The Virtual Patient Game challenges students with interactive simulations of real-life scenarios for clinical training, requiring students to review patient history, conduct a virtual clinical interview, and make decisions across diagnostic testing, diagnosis, treatment planning, and prescriptions. This format reflects real-world clinical decision-making under structured, timed conditions.
Thursday, July 2 — Viva Voce Examination (1-Hour Exam) Students will complete a one-hour oral examination in an individually assigned appointment slot. Appointment times and slots will be confirmed and distributed during the on-campus bootcamp week.
Students should review their bootcamp materials and confirm their assigned Viva Voce time slot prior to July 2.
